Beginning Tennis Class
Coach Clark will be teaching a Beginning
Tennis Class at LCC in Snow Hill this spring. The class
will be held on Monday nights from 6:00 to 8:00. It will
begin on Monday, January 12th. The final exam will be on
the first Monday in May. The class will not meet during
Greene Central's spring break. There will be no charge for
the class for Greene Central students, and students will
earn a college PE credit for the class. Students who are
interested can sign up at LCC in Snow Hill.

The Greene
County Tennis Association hosted the third annual Tennis
Special Olympics for Greene County students on Friday,
November 7th. The event was organized and directed by
Greene Central junior Elizabeth McLawhorn. Members of
the varsity and junior varsity high school teams, as well as
the middle school girls' team, helped at the event. |

Central's Seventh Annual Polar Bear Shootout
The Greene County Tennis Association will
host the Seventh Annual Polar Bear Shootout, February 7-8 at
the Greene Central High School Tennis Complex. Girls
and Boys 12's, 14's, and 16's will play on Saturday,
February 7th. Girls and Boys 10's and 18's will play
on Sunday, February 8th. The deadline for entry is
Tuesday, February 3rd at 9:00 p.m. Entries should be mailed to
Donald Clark at 416 Hwy 91, Snow Hill, NC 28580.

Doubles Only Tournament
The Greene County Tennis Association will
host the Second Annual Greene County Doubles Only
Tournament, February 14-15 at the Greene
Central High School Tennis Complex. Girls

Aluminum Drink Cans!
The GCTA saves aluminum drink
cans for a very special person that helps keep our facility
clean on a regular basis. We would greatly appreciate all
GCTA members saving their cans in a garbage bag and
delivering them to Coach Clark. It would be a great way to
say thank you to this great person! |
